Carmel Flynn rscj welcomed them on arrival
and they began their experience this time with a taste of Ireland,
as Carmel had arranged for them to celebrate the Eucharist with an Irish Missionary priest.
They were joined by students from Loreto College St. Stephen’s Green,
who were already out in Kenya on an African experience.

Later on during their time in Kenya,
they will join Anastasia Shibutse rscj,
principal of Laini Saba Primary School in Kibera, Nairobi,
to work with the pupils there also

It is a new experience and
a challenge to connect up with
other Irish students out in Africa,
so we will be looking forward to hearing how that goes.
